My Personal Creativity Journey ~ Day 3
To follow along with the 90 day challenge start with day 1
Ouch! Today is a painful creative day. I am working on a creative project for my business and I feel very stuck. Things up until now had been in a wonderful rhythmic flow. Then wham! I am so very stuck in the mud right now, that the more I push it to completion the more it pushes right back at me screaming “things just don’t seem right”!!!!!!! Ouch!
What now? I could keep pushing but I know from experience that it won’t work. Luckily the retreat coach in me knows when to step back and look for insight. I will retreat from my project for at least a few hours and see if any insights arise.
One thing I always find very helpful when I am stuck is to move my body! If I don’t have time for a long walk or a horseback ride (first choice) then I simply stand and stretch. Maybe touch my toes and put on some music that inspires my soul. Toe tapping always makes me smile.
While I was writing this blog Gail’s wonderful comment came in. See below:
Go you, girl!!! You are so inspiring to me. I have decided to join you in a 90 ++ day adventure of my own. My commitment is going to be to daily make contact with all of my family members (children, parents) either through a phone call/ message, or an email. I will also spend good quality time with one of my children’s kids (grandchildren) at least once a week (rotating families every week). I would like to use my creativity in creating educational and fun projects with my grandchildren. This weekend I am getting together with the three families (separately) to plant container vegetable gardens with them. I will continue to work with them on caring for and harvesting the vegetables throughout the summer. I also want to create a small herb container garden for my children. Wish me luck!
Gail, you inspire me woman! Creative time with your grandchildren sounds like a win-win situation. Adding the garden touch feels very inspired to me. Will you please send me a couple of photos as you plant with the kids and grandkids so I can post them here on the blog to inspire others? What can I do to support you for the next 90 days? Would you like to do a check in here on the blog? Let me know what feels useful.
Would anyone else like to join Gail and myself in the 90 day challenge? Perhaps, you would just like to leave a commit for Gail.
Gosh, isn’t life exciting when we CHOOSE it to be!
I feel my passion rising!!!!!
